Job Summary:

INRAD is a growing manufacturer, developer, and distributor of innovative medical devices. We are seeking talented individuals to join our team.

The Assembly Technician position is responsible for completing the assembly operations required to build Inrad products to their specification. An ideal candidate for this position will have experience with assembly or manufacturing of medical devices or components in a clean room environment.

Main Responsibilities:

This position at Inrad Inc. entails numerous responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Completing the assembly operations required to build Inrad products to their specification
  • Utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices in all daily activities
  • Contributing to Process Improvements
  • Maintenance activities for Production / Packaging
  • Implementing cost saving measures
  • Assisting with writing and reviewing procedures
  • Additional projects as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager or President
  • Knowing what a Job Folder is and consists of
  • Knowing what a Specification is and how to read the drawing
  • Knowing how to fill out a Job Log
  • Can assemble / package product under direct supervision
  • Assisting with the completion of Corrective and Preventive action activities
  • Reporting non-conformities and non-compliance issues to the Manufacturing Manager or Quality Assurance
  • Follows all GMP’s and SOP’s
  • Complete area skills for Assembly I Position

Job Experience:

  • Two (2) years work experience
  • One (1) year experience in area which employed
  • Previous medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  • Clean room experience preferred

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Understanding tolerances and variations
  • Ability to use measuring devices/hand tools
  • Demonstrate good judgment and analytical skills
  • Basic Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Mechanical aptitude (fixture repair)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to read component drawings
  • Understands Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP’s)

Physical Requirements:

  • Good vision
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Able to lift 25 lbs
  • Able to sit or stand for four(4) hours at a time
  • Able to work with / assemble small components
  • Moderate twisting, bending, and lifting
