Open Position: Molding & Assembly Technician

Overview:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for completing the molding and assembly operations required to build Inrad products to their specification.
Main Responsibilities:
This position at Inrad Inc. entails numerous responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Knowing what a Job Folder is and consists of
- Knowing what a Specification is and how to read the drawing
- Knowing how to fill out a Job Log
- Molding of Inrad components used to produce medical devices
- Trimming and packaging medical device molded components
- Assembly and packaging of medical devices
- Willingness to learn injection molding job set-ups and mold change activities
- Willingness to learn injection molding process techniques for machine adjustment
- Assisting with the completion of Corrective and Preventive action activities
- Reporting non-conformities and non-compliance issues to appropriate personnel
- Follows all GMP’s and SOP’s
- Utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices in all daily activities
- Contributing to Process Improvements
- Performing maintenance activities for production
Job Qualifications:
- Entry Level Injection Molding position (Training may be acquired on the job)
- High School Diploma is required
Job Experience:
- One (1) year experience in area which employed is required
- Previous molding experience with a medical molding / manufacturing company is preferred
Skills / Competencies:

- Ability to read, understand, and follow specifications
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic mathematical skills
- Good interpersonal skills
The following are preferred:
- Understand Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP’s)
- Able to read component drawings
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Good attention to detail
- Understand tolerances and variations
- Ability to use measuring devices / hand tools
- Demonstrate good judgement and analytical skills
Physical Requirements:
- Good vision
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to sit or stand for four(4) hours at a time
- Able to work with and assemble small components
- Moderate twisting, bending, and lifting
